1. Who we are

Wild Rose Massage Shoreham (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a sole-practitioner holistic therapy business operated by Amy Brooks from 8 Nursery Close, Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, BN43 6GJ. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Data we collect

We collect only what we need to deliver your treatment safely and keep in touch about your bookings:

  • Name, email address and mobile number (for booking confirmations + reminders)
  • Booking details (date, time, treatment selected) and treatment history
  • Health information you share during consultation (e.g. allergies, pregnancy, medication, injuries) — used solely to keep your treatment safe
  • Payment information — processed securely by our payment provider; we never see your full card details

3. How we use your data

  • To manage your bookings and provide treatments tailored to you
  • To send appointment confirmations, reminders and any necessary cancellation/rebooking communication
  • To keep accurate treatment records (legal requirement for therapy professionals)
  • To process payments
  • To respond to enquiries you send us

We do not sell, rent, share or trade your data with third parties for marketing.

4. Legal basis

We process your data under: contractual necessity (to fulfil bookings), legitimate interest (to keep treatment records and improve our service), and legal obligation (insurance/professional record-keeping requirements).

5. Third-party services

To deliver our service we use a small number of carefully chosen third-party processors:

  • Online booking system — processes your booking and stores your contact details for the purposes of confirming and managing the appointment.
  • Email provider — transmits booking confirmations and reminders.
  • Hosting provider (Cloudflare) — serves this website and may collect basic anonymised request logs for security and performance.

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policies and is contracted to handle your data only on our instructions.

6. Data retention

Treatment records are kept for a minimum of 7 years (or until your child reaches 25 if a minor was treated), in line with insurance and professional standards. Marketing-related data (e.g. mailing list) is kept only while you remain subscribed and is deleted on request.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to professional record-keeping requirements)
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw any consent you previously gave

To exercise any of these, email wildrosemassage.uk@gmail.com. We respond within one calendar month.

8. Cookies

This website uses only essential cookies required for it to function (e.g. remembering your cookie consent choice). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. See the cookie banner shown on first visit.

9. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your data, please contact us first at wildrosemassage.uk@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
