Our commitment

Wild Rose Massage Shoreham is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technology. We aim for compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we’ve done

  • Semantic HTML throughout (headings, landmarks, lists, descriptive link text)
  • Sufficient colour contrast against our warm cream backdrop
  • Keyboard-only navigation with a visible focus ring on every interactive element
  • :focus-visible styling so the focus indicator only appears when needed
  • Reduced-motion support: animations and smooth-scroll honour prefers-reduced-motion
  • Alt text on every meaningful image; decorative images marked with empty alt=""
  • Form fields with associated labels and accessible error messages
  • Cookie consent banner that can be dismissed with the keyboard (Escape) and traps focus
  • No automatic-playing video or audio, no flashing content

Compatibility

The site is tested with the latest two versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge on desktop and mobile, and with VoiceOver on iOS and Mac. It should work with most modern screen readers, including NVDA and JAWS.

Known limitations

We’re continually improving. We’re aware of these areas where we’d like to do better:

  • The booking system is provided by a third-party and we have less direct control over its accessibility. If you have trouble booking online, please call 07766 295754 and we’ll arrange your appointment over the phone.
  • Some background image gradients may have subtle colour banding on older displays.

The treatment room is in a residential property in Shoreham-by-Sea. We’re happy to discuss any access needs ahead of your appointment — please get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
